There pack has moved up and they have a chance to be competitive at the national level.  The Brentwood team you are referring to that ran at Palintine is actually a private school in Tennessee, Brentwood Academy, not the Brentwood High School we have ranked #9.  Neither St. X or Brentwood High is in our top tier of 7 mentioned above, both have vulnerabilities.  I agree Downers Grove North will give them a run if they all make it to NXN.  The back of the lineup of Lyons was exposed during the Illinois State meet and Lake Zurich profiles much like Brentwood with great runners upfront and a large team split. St X was beaten by Lake Zurich, Il and Brentwood by several Illinois teams at the Palatine Invite.
