By Adam Kopet for DyeStat

There have been a lot of big meets across the country in the past two weeks, including Wednesday's Utah State Meet where American Fork confirmed its top ranking in the Southwest Region over Davis.  Southlake Carroll TX traveled to California for the Clovis Invitational, finishing a strong third to Great Oak CA and Arcadia CA.  On the other side of the country in New York, Fayetteville-Manlius NY won the Manhattan Invitational over Pennsbury PA, North Rockland NY and La Salle RI.

In the Southeast, Lake Braddock VA has won its last two meets, causing a move to No. 2.  In the Midwest, Columbus North IN is making a strong run in its state championship season to move into the top five.  In the Heartland, Willmar MN has overcome illness and injury, moving into the No. 2 spot.  And in the Northwest, Jesuit OR finished eight points behind US#5 Sunset OR at the Metro District Meet to move up to a No. 3 region ranking.

California - by Erik Boal

Yucaipa produced its most complete performance of the year, relying on a 42-second gap 1-5 to hold off sixth-ranked Serrano to capture the sweepstakes title at the Inland Empire Challenge. Great Oak rested its entire top seven and still placed third in the same race. Junior transfer Kaylee Thompson has already made a significant impact for Saugus, winning the second Foothill League race to lead the Centurions' sweep of the first four spots. The top four programs, along with Serrano and Bella Vista, are entered in the Division 1-2 team sweepstakes race at the Mt. SAC Invitational, although Arcadia won't be at full strength, resting two of their top seven.

2. Saugus (Southern Section Division II)

3. Arcadia (Southern Section Division I)

4. Davis Senior (Sac-Joaquin Section Division I)

5. Yucaipa (Southern Section Division I)
