With Champlain Valley Union of Vermont prevailing Nov. 11 at the New England Championships and Union Catholic from New Jersey securing victory the same day at the New Jersey Meet of Champions, the two programs are now headed toward an impressive clash Nov. 25 at the Nike Northeast Regional at Bowdoin Park in New York.

Champlain Valley Union has continued to build momentum in three consecutive postseason races, with Alice Kredell, Estella Laird, Audrey Neilson, Lydia Donahue and Charlotte Crum sweeping the top five spots Oct. 28 in the Division 1 state final.

Laird, Donahue, Neilson were supported by Annalise Wood and Noe Jenni all placing in the top eight Nov. 4 at the Vermont Meet of Champions.

Champlain Valley Union completed the trifecta with a 97-130 victory against Oyster River High of New Hampshire at the New England Championships, highlighted by Kredell and Laird both placing in the top 20 and five scorers in the top 55 overall at the Troy Howard Middle School Course in Belfast, Maine.

Union Catholic rolled through Non-Public A competition Nov. 4 at the New Jersey Group Championships with Paige Sheppard, Courtney Kaiser, Ella Solorzano, Kayla Devine, Peyton Hollis, Sophia Thompson and Emmy O’Hearn all finishing in the top 15.

The Vikings followed with Sheppard, Hollis and Devine, along with sisters Courtney Kaiser and Cayeigh Kaiser, all placing in the top 16 to contribute to a 31-145 victory against Middletown South at the New Jersey Meet of Champions at Holmdel Park.

North Allegheny secured a sixth consecutive Pennsylvania Class AAA state title Nov. 4 with an 80-127 triumph against Abington Heights, but the reigning NXR Northeast champions haven’t had Wren Kucler in the lineup since Sept. 30 and would be challenged to repeat Nov. 25 at Bowdoin Park without her support, joining Eva Kynaston, Robin Kucler, Erin McGoey and Camille Swirsding for the Tigers.

Following a 37-50 setback Oct. 28 against Bethlehem Central at the Suburban Council Championships, Saratoga Springs responded with back-to-back impressive performances in New York.

The Blue Streaks prevailed by a 28-45 margin against Bethlehem Central in a rematch Nov. 4 at the Section 2 Championships to advance to the Class A state final.

Saratoga Springs relied on a victory Nov. 11 from senior Emily Bush at the Vernon-Verona-Sherrill course and five scorers in the top 35 to secure a 24-80 win against Northport to capture another state title.

New York programs will get an opportunity to preview the Bowdoin Park course Nov. 18 at the Federation Championships, before racing the following week at the Nike New York Regional.

St. Francis Mountain View achieved one of the most impressive results Nov. 11 in California at the Central Coast Section Championships at the Crystal Springs Course, placing five scorers in the top 12 to emerge victorious by a 38-51 margin against reigning Division 2 state champion Los Altos, with the teams scheduled to square off again Nov. 25 at the state final at Woodward Park in Fresno.

Buchanan looks to capture a seventh consecutive Central Section Division 1 title Nov. 16 at Woodward Park, with Southern Section programs JSerra, Ventura and Corona Santiago all pursuing championships in their respective divisions Nov. 18 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
