1. Fiona O'Keeffe, junior, Davis Senior (California) – Ran 23 seconds faster than last year at SJS Finals (16:57 for 3 miles)

2. Anna Rohrer, senior, Mishawaka (Indiana) – Won the MidEast Championships (17:35) and it's been all smooth sailing so far through five races

3. Allie Ostrander, senior, Kenai Central (Alaska) – Second on the snowy track at NXN Northwest was her first race in six weeks

4. Hannah DeBalsi, junior, Staples (Connecticut) – Coasted through state and New Englands meets but now the real work begins in drive for Foot Locker

5.  Brianna Schwartz, senior, Shaler Area (Pennsylvania) – State champion preparing for Foot Locker Northeast

6. Hannah Long, senior, Eureka (Missouri) – Eight seconds ahead of her winning time at Missouri last year

7. Maryjeanne Gilbert, junior, Notre Dame (Illinois) – Second fastest ever at Detweiler Park at the state meet (16:12).

8. Libby Davidson, sophomore, E.C. Glass (Virginia) – Broke the course record at Virginia state meet (17:12) and beat Kelati for the second time in two weeks

9. Destiny Collins, junior, Great Oak (California) – Still recovering from tendinitis, but state meet is coming soon

10. Bella Burda, senior, Arlington (New York) – Backed up her NYSPHSAA title with a second win at NY Feds meet

11. Ryen Frazier, senior, Ravencroft (North Carolina) – Ran 16:44 at a college meet on Saturday; also dropped a 10:12 3200

12. Devin Clark, senior, Smithson Valley (Texas) – Ran 17:10.9 for a new meet record in Texas

13. Ella Donaghu, junior, Grant (Oregon) – Found out she was the Best in Snow, scored a huge win over a top field at NXN Northwest

14. Amaris Tyynismaa, 8th grade, Montgomery Catholic (Alabama) – Broke the Alabama state record with jaw-dropping 17:03

15. Lindsey Bradley, senior, Richland (Washington) – Impressive Washington state meet (17:25) coupled with third place at NXN Northwest

16. Bethany Hasz, junior, Alexandria (Minnesota) – Won the NXN Heartland regional for the second year in a row

17. Annie Hill, freshman, Glacier (Montana) – Fourth at NXN Northwest

18. Katie Rainsberger, junior, Air Academy (Colorado) – NXN Southwest is Saturday

19. Makena Morley, senior, Bigfork (Montana) – Fifth at NXN Northwest

20. Danielle Jones, senior, Desert Vista (Arizona) – Broke the Arizona state meet record with 17:26

21. Lauren Gregory, sophomore, Fort Collins (Colorado) – NXN Southwest is Saturday after four weeks off

22. Stephanie Jenks, junior, Linn-Mar (unattached) (Iowa) – Second place at NXN Heartland

23. Megan Hasz, junior, Alexandria (Minnesota) – Third place at NXN Heartland

24. Sarah Kettel, junior, Capital Home School (Michigan) – Won NXN Midwest and beat good people doing it

25. Audrey Belf, senior, Seaholm (Michigan) – Second at NXN Midwest

26. Marissa Williams, senior, Palisades Charter (California) – Won the LA City Prelims

27. Jessica Lawson, sophomore, Corning (New York) – Runner-up to Burda two weeks in a row

28. Paige Hofstad, junior, New Braunfels (Texas) – Second to Clark at the UIL state meet

29. Samantha Ortega, senior, Saugus (California) – Biding her time until postseason

30. Olivia Sargent, junior, Pennsbury (Pennsylvania) – Second to Schwartz in the PA AAA race

@Mike the girls are extremely deep. For example, look at #25 and #26. Belf is the US junior 5k champion in track with 4:45 speed. She has won a ton of XC meets this year and finished second in the NXN midwest regionals. Marissa Williams just set the 8th fastest time ever at Mt. Sac, arguably one of the most traversed courses in high school cross country and set the Pierce course record on her way to her third straight Los Angeles city section title. Note these ranking came out before the SS finals. Ortega is likely to fall out after losing to Graves and Gore. There are so many talented girls this year. I think Doug would agree that the top 40 or so girls are separated by maybe 15 seconds or so. Graham is great but so are others.

It was a tough week. Graham could be in that 25-30 range but so could a handful of others.

Lindsay Graham runs 16:23 at the Illinois State meet, the fifth fastest time ever on that course, and she is on the bubble? Wow.
