The top five teams continued to solidify their positions over the past two weeks, but there has been significant movement in the middle of the rankings. The top four teams in Illinois met at the Naperville Twilight, where only 13 points separated all four. Naperville North came out on top, but another team could win if the race if it were rerun. Naperville North leads the Illinois contingent in the rankings at No. 15, with Minnoka, Yorkville and Glenbard West following right behind. Outside of the Illinois teams, the notable improvements have come from Broomfield CO at No. 12, which beat Mountain Vista CO by one point at the Metro State Roadrunner Invitational. Willmar MN and Jesuit OR are also trending up. Arcadia CA returns to the rankings this week after third place finishes at both Stanford and Clovis, both times finishing behind Great Oak CA and Davis Senior CA. Two teams make their debut in the Top 30, Shenendehowa NY, which won the Paul Short Run, and Yucaipa CA, after a fifth place finish at Clovis. This week, California stands as the region with the most depth, with six teams in the rankings. The Southwest and Midwest each have five. The Top 30, 10/13 1. Fayetteville-Manlius NY 2.
