1 (1). Katelyn Tuohy, junior, North Rockland NY: Her reported knee tendonitis  seems to be not such a big deal. She won the the New York state title last Saturday in 17:02 at Sunken Meadow.

2 (2). Katelynne Hart, junior, Glenbard West IL: She won the NXR Midwest title for the third year in a row to punch her ticket to the Nike Cross Nationals.

3 (3). Kelsey Chmiel, senior, Saratoga Springs NY: She finished behind Tuohy but led her team to a one-point victory at the New York state meet. 

4 (4). Emily Covert, senior, Washburn MN: She has been impressive of late, winning the Minnesota AA title and also NXR Heartland. . 

5 (5). Ericka VanderLende, senior, Rockford MI: She won the Michigan LP Division 1 title by 50 seconds. Foot Locker Midwest is next.

6 (11). Grace Connolly, senior, Natick MA: She ran a sensational time of 17:04 to win the EMass MIAA championship by 71 seconds. She broke the Wrentham Developmental Center course record by 23 seconds.

7 (7). London Culbreath, junior, McKinney TX: She is the 5A state champ and still undefeated going into NXR South this weekend. 

8 (9). Taylor Ewert, junior, Beavercreek OH: No stranger to killer back-to-back doubles, she showed her bravery and mettle by winning the Ohio D1 title a day before racing to third at NXR Midwest even though she probably didn't have to. 

9 (8). Marlee Starliper, junior, Northern PA: She won the Pennsylvania 2A state title by a whopping 56 seconds.

10 (10). Claire Walters, junior, Fayetteville-Manlius NY: Even at third in her own state meet, Walters' time was one of the fastest ever at Sunken Meadow.

11 (NR). Alex Morris, senior, Naperville North IL: She ran stride for stride with Hart at NXR, finishing second by less than three seconds.

12 (15). Sydney Thorvaldson, sophomore, Rawlins WY: The Wyoming champion won the NXR Northwest title by 14 seconds.

13 (17). Sydney Masciarelli, sophomore, Marianapolis Prep CT: A lot more will be revealed about her talent when she runs at Foot Locker Northeast.

14 (12). Tori Gaitan, junior, Great Oak CA: She is rolling with her team toward the CIF Finals.

15 (13). Abby VanderKooi, freshman, Muskegon Western Michigan Christian MI: Still unbeaten, she won the Michigan Division 4 final by 75 seconds.

16 (NR) Grace Ping, sophomore, Cotter MN: She was second at NXR Heartland and earned a return trip to NXN.

17 (27). Ashlyn Hillyard, senior, Plano TX: In slightly cooler conditions than Culbreath had, she won the Texas 6A title in 16:38.3.  

18 (16). Kristin Fahy, senior, La Costa Canyon CA: She won the North County Championship on the way to the state meet.

19 (18). Anna Martin, junior, Lehi UT: The long wait for Foot Locker West is almost over.

20 (19). Adelyn Ackley, senior, Hart MI: She won the Michigan D3 state title.

21 (20). Jenna Fitzsimmons, junior, Mountain Vista CO: Top Coloradoan is at NXR Southwest this weekend.

22 (21). Abby Loveys, senior, Randolph NJ: She ran 17:52 at Holmdel Park to win the Group 4 title.

23 (29). Tiahna Vladic, senior, Billings Senior MT: She placed second at NXR Northwest.

24 (20). Corie Smith, junior Buchanan CA: She finished within stride of teammate Meagen Lowe at the TRAC Championships. 

25 (25). Brooke Rauber, sophomore, Tully NY: She won the New York Class D title by more than a minute. 

26 (NR). Valarie Lastra, junior, Mater Academy FL: She broke the state meet course record in Florida with 17:17 to win the Class 3A title.

27 (26). Ella Borsheim, freshman, Bellarmine Prep WA: She finished third at NXR Northwest. 

28 (NR). Meagen Lowe, senior, Buchanan CA: Gearing up for another big run at state.

29 (30). Emma Wilson, senior, Greencastle IN: She was fourth at NXR Midwest.

30 (28). Katrina Schlenker, freshman, Batavia IL: She was fifth at NXR Midwest.

not sure how you justify putting Hart ahead of Chmiel and Walters so low. Chmiel has run times that would be the best in a world absent Tuohy. And Walters is not far of of that

Chmiel and Hart are both very talented and that feels very close. Could Chmiel beat Hart? Certainly possible. Emily Covert and Ericka VanderLende are in that realm as well. How high up would you place Walters? I think she's about right at 10.
