1 (1). Nevada Mareno, senior, Leeville Road (North Carolina): Opened her season with an easy win at Friday Night Flights on Sept. 9.

2 (2). Annie Hill, junior, Glacier (Montana): Mountain West Invitational coming up this Saturday.

3 (9). Brie Oakley, senior, Grandview (Colorado): Exceptional wins at the Liberty Bell Invitational and Woodridge Cross Country Classic (CA) are two of the best performances of the season so far.

4 (3). Allie Schadler, senior, Rio Rico (Arizona): Terrific efforts at Desert Solstice and Woodbridge (rated section) went largely unchallenged.

5 (4). Kate Murphy, senior, Lake Braddock (Virginia): Waiting to open.

6 (5). Cailie Logue, senior, Girard (Kansas): Ran a fast 17:18 at the Missouri Southern Stampede.

7 (6). Kelsey Chmiel, sophomore, Saratoga Springs (New York): Strong opener at Great Meadow (VA) at the end of August.

8 (7). Libby Davidson, senior, E.C. Glass (Virginia): Waiting to open.

9 (8). Jessica Lawson, senior, Corning (New York): She won the PTXC 8 meet in Pennsylvania.

10 (15). Lauren Gregory, senior, Fort Collins (Colorado): She won the John Martin Invitational by more than a minute.

11 (10). Ashton Endsley, senior, Abilene (Texas): All wins so far this season.

12 (26). Molly Born, junior, Shawnee Mission Northwest (Kansas): Ran to a dominant win at the Heartland Classic.

13 (32). Tiahna Vladic, sophomore, Billings Senior (Montana): After big early wins she faces Hill at the Mountain West Classic in Missoula this week.

14 (13). Aislinn Devlin, senior, Downingtown West (Pennsylvania): She won the Cherokee Challenge in NJ on Sept. 10.

15 (NR). Claudia Lane, sophomore, Malibu (California): Big races at Seaside and Woodbridge point to a massive improvement.

16 (47). Karly Ackley, senior, Grand Forks Central (North Dakota): Impressive start at the Nike Heartland Invitational.

17 (16). Claire Walters, freshman, Fayetteville-Manlius (New York): Won at the Chittenago Invitational.

18 (17). Ember Stratton, sophomore, Sunset (Oregon): She won her first Metro League meet by nearly a minute.

19 (20). Julia Heymach, senior, Lamar (Texas): She placed third at Woodbridge.

20 (27). Taylor Roe, sophomore, Lake Stevens (Washington): She won the South Whidbey Carl Westling Invite last weekend.

21 (25). Rebecca Story, junior, Christian Academy of Knoxville (Tennessee): She ran 17:24.6 to win the Cherokee Classic in Knoxville.

22 (56). Chloe Arriaga, sophomore, Walnut (California): She was fourth at Woodbridge.

23 (39). India Johnson, senior, Hilliard Davidson (Ohio): Won the Trinity Valkyrie Invitational.

24 (31). Whitney Rich, senior, Bingham (Utah): Five meets down, all of them wins.

25 (NR). Jocelyn Long, junior, Barrington (Illinois): Speedy outing at the First To The Finish Invitational could point to a big season.

26 (24). Jordan Oakes, senior, Holy Names (Washington): Big first test at Nike Portland XC on Saturday.

27 (77). Maggie Farrell, senior, Battle Creek Lakeview (Michigan): Already has seven races under her belt, all wins. Her improvement from one year to the next has been stunning.

28 (NR). Heather Holt, junior, George C. Marshall (Virginia): She won at the Oatlands Invitational on Saturday.

29. (NR): Michaela Reinhart, senior, Lexington Catholic (Kentucky): Second place at the Trinity Valkyrie Invitational.

30 (11). Sarah Leinheiser, senior, Carmel (Indiana): Third place at the Trinity Valkyrie Invitational.
